| PlayStation’s Hyperpop Collection adds bold colour options to PS5 console covers and DualSense controllers |
By Jon Scarr
PlayStation just announced the Hyperpop Collection, a new lineup of PS5 accessories featuring bold colour gradients and glossy finishes. The collection introduces three new designs for DualSense wireless controllers and matching PS5 console covers, all set to launch in March.
The three colourways are Techno Red, Remix Green, and Rhythm Blue. Each design uses a black-to-neon gradient inspired by RGB-lit gaming setups, giving the accessories a louder, more expressive look than PlayStation’s usual colour options.
Three New Hyperpop Designs
Each Hyperpop design brings its own visual style:
- Techno Red – a deep red gradient with high contrast highlights
- Remix Green – a bright green finish designed to stand out in any setup
- Rhythm Blue – a cooler blue gradient with a cleaner, more focused look
The DualSense controllers feature a seamless gradient that wraps around both the front and back, finished with a high-gloss coat. The matching PS5 console covers use the same colour treatment, with a subtle touch of transparency.
Pricing and Release Details
The Hyperpop DualSense wireless controllers will launch with a recommended retail price of $84.99 USD. The matching PS5 console covers will be available in limited quantities in select markets for $74.99 USD.
The Hyperpop Collection begins launching on March 12, 2026. Pre-orders open on January 16, 2026 at 10am local time through direct.playstation.com where available, as well as participating retailers. Availability and exact timing may vary by region.
A New Look for Your PS5
PlayStation has been playing it pretty safe with accessories for a long time, so it’s nice to see them really go for something fun here. The Hyperpop Collection is loud, glossy, and unapologetic about it. These are the kind of colours you pick because you want to actually see your PS5.
I love the look and shine to these accessories. The Rhythm Blue DualSense Controller and console cover is what I'm keep my eye on. If you’re bored of black, white, and barely-there accents, this feels like PlayStation finally letting its hardware have some personality.
