By Jon Scarr
This week’s GFN Thursday brings a big update to GeForce NOW, with NVIDIA rolling out a beta version of the GeForce NOW app for Linux PCs alongside 10 new games joining the service.
The update follows NVIDIA’s CES 2026 announcements, where the company shared plans to broaden GeForce NOW support across more devices and operating systems. With Linux now in the mix, GeForce NOW keeps pushing toward making high-end PC gaming easier to access across more screens.
GeForce NOW Comes to Linux PCs
The new GeForce NOW Linux app brings a native experience to desktop Linux users, moving beyond the earlier handheld-focused setup that many Steam Deck players were using.
Because the game runs in the cloud, even older Linux PCs can stream with RTX features like ray tracing and DLSS, powered by RTX 5080-class performance through the Ultimate tier. That means you can play modern games with higher settings without needing high-end hardware sitting under your desk.
Linux now joins Windows, macOS, Chromebooks, mobile devices, and smart TVs as part of GeForce NOW’s growing list of supported platforms.

Wrapping Up This Week on GeForce NOW
This week’s GFN Thursday is a mix of platform updates and new games, with Linux support being the biggest change. Alongside this week’s additions, NVIDIA also confirmed that Delta Force will arrive on GeForce NOW on February 3, adding another game to the upcoming lineup.
If you’ve been waiting for a more direct way to use GeForce NOW on Linux, the beta app is the real story here. And if you’re just looking for something new to play in the cloud, there’s plenty in this week’s list to dig into.
