Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition coming later this year

Rumours about a remastered Grand Theft Auto trilogy have been swirling around in the gaming community for quite some time. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Grand Theft Auto III later this month, today, Rockstar Games confirmed the rumours were true. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is coming this year for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and the Rockstar Games Launcher on PC.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition contains Grand Theft Auto 3, GTA: Vice City, GTA: San Andreas. The Trilogy will feature across-the-board upgrades including graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements for all three titles, while still maintaining the classic look and feel of the originals. More information will be forthcoming in the next few weeks.

In preparation for launch, the existing versions of the classic titles from digital retailers will be removed next week. In addition, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will be coming to iOS and Android in the first half of 2022.
