In a tweet by THQ Nordic this morning, they announced a digital showcase event to celebrate their 10th anniversary. The official THQ Nordic digital showcase event takes place on September 17th at 9 pm CEST / 12 PM PST / 8 PM BST / 10 PM MSK on YouTube, Twitch, and Steam.
The showcase will be hosted by Canada's own Geoff Keighley, executive producer and host of The Game Awards, and will feature six new games. The tweet included some interesting comments such as these two "Witness the return of legendary franchises and sequels to beloved games. We hope you are ready, kids!"
Additionally, new information and footage for our upcoming games, ELEX II and Expeditions: Rome will be shown at the event. Finally, for those that tune in early, a glimpse of what Handy Games have been up to will be shown.
ALL content creators are invited to co-stream the showcase on their own channels! THQ Nordic is working with Twitch and YouTube to make sure that all music can be part of the stream. If you’d like to participate or have questions, reach out to: contentcreators@thqnordic.com
Interestingly enough, on September 1st, twitter user Mister1030 responded to a tweet from THQ Nordic when they announced that September was their birthday month commenting that he would like to see more releases and continued support for Stadia. Their response was "We just released Darksiders II for Stadia, maybe more games will follow."
Well I am not sure if that means any of the six new games at the upcoming event will be released on Stadia, you can bet I'll be tuned in on September 17th to find out!
