Just days after Super Mario Galaxy Movie cereal started popping up in Walmart stores, Super Mario Galaxy Movie toys from Epoch Games have quietly appeared online. And just like the cereal, these weren’t revealed through an official Nintendo announcement.

Instead, they showed up the same way these things usually do. Retail listings first. Marketing later.

Three new toy products tied to The Super Mario Galaxy Movie are now live on Epoch Games' European web site, and they give us our clearest look yet at new movie renders, familiar Galaxy imagery, and even a small but exciting character detail that longtime fans are definitely going to notice.

This comes immediately after movie-branded cereal was spotted hitting shelves early, which already suggested the promotional rollout is starting sooner than expected. Now it’s pretty clear that wasn’t a one-off.

Three Super Mario Galaxy Movie Tabletop Games Have Appeared Online

The new listings come from Epoch-branded products tied directly to the movie. All three are traditional tabletop toys rather than figures, but the real story here isn’t the gameplay. It’s the artwork.

The products include:

  • Battle Pinball – An arcade-style pinball game inspired by The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. You flick the flippers to hit the ball and must first defeat enemies on the left and right sides before you’re able to deal damage to Bowser Jr. The goal is to eventually pop Bowser Jr. out of the top of the board. No batteries are required.
  • Spinning Galaxy Game – A Spin ’n Match card game inspired by the movie’s Galaxy setting. You pick a card and spin the spinner, causing Mario and the spinner board to rotate in reverse directions. Your goal is to stop Mario on the item that matches your card. The set includes three games in one, including a picture matching game.
  • Balancing Galaxy Stage – A balancing game where you spin the spinner to determine how many character pieces you must place on the stage. Players lose if they topple the pieces off the platform, adding a simple risk-and-balance element to the gameplay.

Each product uses never-before-seen movie renders, and that’s where things get interesting.

New Super Mario Galaxy Movie Renders Reveal Familiar Faces and Subtle Changes

All three toy listings showcase new character art that hasn’t appeared in trailers, posters, or packaging so far.

From what’s visible on the product images we’re seeing:

  • New renders of Mario in a spinning, Galaxy-style pose adapted specifically for the movie
  • Updated looks at Luigi and Peach that appear slightly different from earlier promotional images
  • Multiple new Yoshi renders, including at least one pose that hasn’t appeared on any previous packaging
  • Several new Lumas, reinforcing how central Galaxy imagery is going to be in this film

There’s also a planet design shown on the Balancing Galaxy Stage that doesn’t immediately match anything we’ve seen before. It could be a new angle on a familiar location, or something entirely new.

Either way, it’s another small reminder that Nintendo is clearly putting Super Mario Galaxy visuals front and centre for this movie.

Captain Toad Quietly Shows Up on the Packaging

This is the detail Galaxy fans are going to latch onto.

One of the toy images includes Toad wearing a headlamp, strongly resembling Captain Toad rather than the standard Mushroom Kingdom look. We’ve technically seen Toad in the trailer already, but this is the first time the headlamp shows up in promotional material.

If you remember, Captain Toad’s theme music briefly appeared in the first Mario movie. This feels like a natural evolution of that idea rather than a random design choice.

It’s not a full plot spoiler by any means, but it does suggest Captain Toad’s role may be more than just a background gag this time around.

Bowser Jr. and the Clown Car Return

Another small but notable detail appears on the Balancing Galaxy Stage packaging.

Bowser Jr. is shown piloting his Clown Car, something we’ve only briefly glimpsed before in earlier footage. Seeing it used prominently in toy art suggests he’ll have a more active role this time, rather than just popping in for a quick scene.

Again, nothing huge on its own. But when you stack it alongside the cereal boxes, the Galaxy-heavy branding, and these new renders, it paints a clearer picture of how early this marketing phase really is.

Early Retail Listings Point to a Staggered Marketing Rollout

Just like the Super Mario Galaxy Movie cereal from General Mills, there’s been no official announcement from Nintendo, Illumination, or the Epoch Games about these products.

The listings simply went live. That usually means one thing. Licensed products are being seeded into retail ahead of a broader push.

With The Super Mario Galaxy Movie currently scheduled for April 3, 2026, it looks like the promotional machine is starting to spin up quietly, piece by piece as we move closer and closer to release.

And if cereal and toys are already out in the wild, it probably won’t be long before we see another trailer or a more formal reveal.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Train Is Clearly Picking Up Speed

On their own, toy listings don’t mean much. But paired with early cereal sightings, new renders, and new character details, it’s hard not to feel like the Super Mario Galaxy Movie rollout is finally starting to move.

Nintendo doesn’t always make official announcements when these campaigns begin. Sometimes they just let retail do the talking.

If more Super Mario Galaxy Movie products surface, or if these toys start appearing outside Europe, this story could grow fast. And if you spot any of these locally, especially in North America, it’s probably worth paying attention.
